These terms and conditions ("Terms and Conditions") apply to your use of this website, its features and contents (the "Site”). Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using and/or registering on the Site because by accessing or using the Site or any mobile versions of it or by linking to it, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions are a legally binding agreement between you and us.

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any updated Terms and Conditions will be made available here. We may send registered users an email with notice of the change. All materials on or available through this Site is the copyright of Pearson and its group companies and its licensors, unless otherwise stated. All rights are reserved. Users are permitted to view, print and download the material for personal, non-commercial and class room use only but in so doing are not permitted to remove or amend any trademark, copyright or other proprietary notice. 'Class room use' means non-commercial uses by a qualified teacher during a class of students registered in a qualified educational institution.

All trademarks used on this Site are the property of their respective owners. 'Pearson', 'Always Learning', 'Addison-Wesley', 'Longman', and ‘Heinemann’ are all trade marks of Pearson or other companies in the Pearson group.

The use of any trademark on our Site does not create any affiliation with or endorsement of our Site by such owners.

Additional terms will apply when you purchase goods, services or a subscription from us. These will be presented to you at the time of purchase.

Registration Data and Account Security

When you register for any services offered on the Site requiring registration, you are asked to provide specific information as set out in the registration form (“Registration Details”). You must provide accurate Registration Details and keep your Registration Details up to date. You must keep your password and identification details confidential. You are fully responsible for any use of your account. Please do not allow anyone else to access your account.

You must notify Pearson immediately of any unauthorised use of your Registration Details or account. Pearson will not be responsible for any losses arising out of the unauthorised use of your Registration Details and/or account.

Privacy

Registration Details or other information you provide to us as part of our registration process will be treated in accordance with our Privacy Notice.

User Conduct

The Site and all its features (whether or not requiring password registration or payment) is available for your personal, non-commercial use only. You must ensure that any content provided by you on the Site meets the Acceptable Use Policy.

The views, statements and opinions expressed by any users on the Site in any form are those of the individual contributors or advertisers and not the statements and opinions of Pearson or its group companies.

We may refuse to grant you a username that impersonates someone else, is or may be protected by trademark or other intellectual property rights, is vulgar, offensive or otherwise inappropriate, as determined by us in our sole discretion.

We do not undertake to keep or make available any material that you or anyone else has contributed to the Site for any length of time or at all. We may delete, archive, make unavailable, modify or comment on any material, and close or suspend any discussion topic at any time without notice.

You may not use the words “Pearson”, “Longman”, “Heinemann”, “Addison Wesley”, or any other trademark used on the Site or belonging to us or our affiliated entities, in particular in any meta-tags or other “hidden text”, in each case without our express prior written consent.

User Disputes

You are responsible for your interactions with other users of the Site. We reserve the right, but have no obligation, to monitor disputes between you and other users.

Availability of the Site

Although we try to ensure that the information we provide on this Site is correct, it is provided on an 'as is' basis. We do not provide any guarantees that the content of this Site is accurate, complete or up to date, or that the Site will be available at all times. Pearson is not responsible for any content on the Site, whether made available by Pearson, our group companies, or any other individuals, nor for any losses suffered by you as a result of the Site not being fully available at all times. Pearson is not responsible for any third party links from the Site, or for any content maintained on third party sites. Pearson cannot guarantee that the Site will be virus or error free.

Our responsibility to you

We will always be responsible to you for: (a) death or personal injury arising as a result of Pearson's negligence; (b) fraud on the part of Pearson; and (c) any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by applicable law.

Other than as set out above, we are not responsible to you for any damages, losses or costs relating to your use of the Site in a way which is not permitted under these Terms and Conditions.

Our rights to end your use of the Site

Pearson may suspend or terminate your access to the Site without notice if you are in breach of these Terms and Conditions.

If you breach these Terms and Conditions and we take no action, we will can still use any rights and remedies that were available to us when you broke them.

Your registration may be terminated and your profile and any content or information that you have posted on the Site may be deleted at any time. We can stop you from using or accessing the Site for any reason, at any time.

We can deactivate user accounts that have been inactive for more than 180 days in a row.

Other Important Terms

By visiting or using the Site you agree that these Terms and Conditions are governed by and shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute between you and us, however a dispute can be heard in the courts where you live.

If any section of these Terms and Conditions is held to be illegal, the rest will continue to apply. Even if you or we delay in enforcing any of these Terms and Conditions, the section can still be enforced later.

Except for Pearson's group companies, no other companies have rights under these Terms and Conditions – these are between you and Pearson.

Pearson may transfer these Terms and Conditions to a third party provided that this does not adversely impact you.
